Software Development Engineer - to apply, send your resume to careers@ambientcorp.com, with "Software Development Engineer" in the subject line

  1. Proven track records for delivering software release under aggressive schedules with “can-do” spirit;
  2. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with working knowledge on networking procotols such as ppp, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP.
  3. Solid hands-on development for embedded software (both application and drivers) development using C;
  4. In-depth working knowledge with Linux Kernel and related drivers ;
  5. Assist defining functional / feature specs and get approval from product owner on the specs.;
  6. Conduct research and prototyping activities as needed in order to arrive at detailed requirements and architecture user interface designs;
  7. Conduct software development, code review, unit testing and System integration testing;
  8. Comply with SW development guidance (coding standard, design guidance, requirements etc.);
  9. Documentation for products in the form of architecture, system requirement, software design, unit test plans, performance requirements, performance validation plan, API guides, implementation and configuration guides;
  10. Software sustaining support, create/maintain trouble shooting guides;
  11. Knowledge Transfer activities to educate consumers of a product release (e.g. Services, customer support, customers, presales, Product Management);
  12. Working experience with Agile / Scrum framework and able to work with & lead an effective team in a start-up environment would a plus.
  13. Experience with Micro code would also be a plus

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A 4 year degree in computer science or engineering is required.​  A master's degree is a plus.​
  2. Must exhibit outstanding communication skills and have the ability and experience of contributing in a professional team environment.​
